68 OFWs receive financial assistance

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), in partnership with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), released DOLE- Abot Kamay ang Pagtulong (AKAP) for OFWs financial assistance to 68 qualified Bataeño OFWs, through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Bataan yesterday, September 14 at the The Bunker.

Said program is an initiative of the aforementioned government agencies to assist the directly impacted land-based and sea-based returning Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) due to COVID-19. In line with the government’s Bayanihan to Heal as One Act, the program will continue to grant qualified OFWs a P10,000 one-time cash assistance.
